  • I'M A BUSINESS BUT I DON'T HAVE A STOREFRONT DOWNTOWN. HOW DO I GET INVOLVED?

    Thanks for wanting to bring your awesome business to Bakersfield Second Saturday, we LOVE seeing vendors participate! Our map only includes businesses with storefronts, but that also gives the storefronts ability to do what they want each month, including having vendors like yourself participate. Businesses like Nanette Shoppe, Cafe Smitten, Tlo Wines, and In Your Wildest Dreams Consignment sometimes have vendors on site for Bakersfield Second Saturday. We’d encourage you to reach out to them or other downtown businesses + see about their sign-up process for the next Second Saturday.

  • I'M A BUSINESS BUT I DON'T HAVE A STOREFRONT DOWNTOWN. CAN I STILL SIGN UP FOR AN INSTAGRAM LIVE?

    Not at this time. We are reserving the Instagram live sessions to be a supplement or addition to storefronts that sign up for the map.

  • WHAT TYPE OF BUSINESSES SHOULD SIGN UP FOR THE MAP?

    We filter the map to include businesses with storefronts in Downtown Bakersfield that the general consumer market would love to purchase from. Our map typically includes local restaurants, clothing shops, coffee shops, personal care, home decor, bars + wineries, non-profits open to the public, and thrift shops. We encourage all that apply to have a special offer each month that intrigues the community and is exciting to promote.

    We find that businesses that national chains, businesses that provide services to other businesses (B2B), vendors that require tent space, or businesses that do not have a physical storefront in Downtown Bakersfield are not a good fit for our model and demographic.

  • HOW DO I GET MY BUSINESS FEATURED ON THE MAP?

    The only way to be on our monthly map is to sign up via our sign up page here.

  • HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO BE ON THE MAP?

  • WHERE IS SECOND SATURDAY?

    Second Saturday spans across Downtown Bakersfield. Each month, the businesses change and new offers are announced. Check out the latest map here.

  • WHAT TIME DOES IT START?

    The map has hours as provided by each business, so take another look at the map for specific details here. Since Second Saturday brings the community to storefronts and farmer's markets downtown, the hours vary by owner and offering.

  • I'M A DOWNTOWN BUSINESS AND WANT TO HAVE MULTIPLE MOBILE/TENT VENDORS ON MY PROPERTY FOR SECOND SATURDAY. CAN I DO THAT?

    Of course! To get your business and vendor fair on the map, just sign up as usual. Whatever you list on the application will be put on the map, so please double-check. Be sure your vendors have proper documentation, follow your protocol, and that you're following city rules for vendors on your property.

  • WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I SIGN UP?

    First off, welcome! After sign up, you’ll receive emails from us to the email you signed up with (make sure it’s accurate) about a week before Second Saturday. It’s important to keep tabs on your email since we send over proofs of the map to ensure we got every detail correct and there are no errors. From there, we launch the map and share about Second Saturday the week leading up to the day.
